What is Paintless Dent Removal?
At Dent Shifter the most commonly used methods of Paintless Dent Repair (PDR) are the use of specially designed metal rods and body picks that are used to massage the dents out from the inside of the body panels.
Glue is now also becoming very popular which can be used on the outside of the panel to pull the dents out. We feel it is important at this point to mention, despite common belief that dents can not be sucked out.

The technology of PDR has been around for many years. Fluorescent lighting, or in some cases a light-reflection board, is used to see the shadows created by the deformation of the dent. This is an important aspect of the repair process.
Without a Paintless Dent Repair light board or reflector board, the fine detail of the process is unseen, and the technician cannot locate their tool specifically and cannot remove the damage accurately. The process of Paintless Dent Repair requires a technician to specifically push exact locations of metal to a precise height, which can only be witnessed with the use of a PDR reflection board.
Paintless Dent Removal takes time to learn and years to perfect, it is more of an art than a specific set of skills. An untrained individual can actually damage a dent if attempting a repair without the correct skills and knowledge. As long as the paint isn't damaged a successful repair can be achieved, a repair that retains your original paint finish and removes the need for filler and paint.
Dent Shifter PDR prides itself on ensuring the highest quality dent repairs possible and customer satisfaction is very important to us.
